Since becoming a vampire, Vince slept better than he had in years.
At first he thought it was an effect of his new biology, the unexpected upside of an unforgiving circadian rhythm. But that was only part of it.
The simple truth was that he no longer needed a six pack to wind down after work. He stopped bingeing TV shows. Stopped staring at his phone before bed—or ever.
It wasn’t discipline that had saved him, but vice. When you drank blood for a living, it was hard to get addicted to anything else.
becoming a vampire actually sounds like a pretty great life plan.......
